Very entertaining game, enjoy!Īn unexpected sequel! I bought the original Rooms: The Main Building years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Basement levels have cell phones to collect that allow you to teleport to any color of phone, however, if you teleport to another section and have no extra cellphones, you will be stuck and won't be able to progress, so you'll have to start over. There are 21 Achievements to earn, and there are Basement Levels available for experienced or advanced players, that are very challenging. The graphics are really good, the tutorial is excellent and the levels progress in difficulty at a nice pace. You can replay the level as often as you want to solve the puzzle within the expert score, allotted number of moves. Most rooms have at least one Teleporting Phone (as you progress, more phones are available in specific color codes) this phone allows you to teleport to the section that contains the same colored phone, without having to move sections or slide sections. Some sections have ladders or stairs, some sections contain a key which opens the door to the next room.
Each section has four sides obviously, but each section has different available sides that can be accessed, for example the left side may be open but the other three sides are closed, so you need to slide unblocked sections, left, right, up or down until you are able to enter the next section as you try to make it to the section with the door. This is a mechanical type puzzle game, there are 4 different mansion themes, and the goal is to make it through each of the 20 rooms per mansion within the allotted number of moves to earn up to three gears or "stars" Each room has several sections that are in the wrong place, sections that are Black and White are in the wrong place, sections in color are correctly placed. Today is different however, because a young girl named Anne has found the vanishing mansion, or perhaps the mansion found Anne, after all, the mansion has been waiting for Anne for a very long time. Nobody knows what happened to the Toymaker, or his Mansion for that matter, because they both vanished into thin air.
lolĮxcellent Problem Solving Mechanical Puzzle Adventure! What a way to start the week! This is a puzzle adventure about a Toymaker who has a secret, one he dare not share with anyone, a secret full of magic, and of course mystery. I'm sorry I'm writing this review early on and cannot tell you specific differences yet between the two games but I couldn't wait to give a big shout out to the developers and Big Fish for this second game. I'm not sure yet if I will encounter any new gadgets but it don't matter because the adventure itself is new and exciting and well worth another buy. If you decide to buy both games go for it because they will give you a whole new character and story. Also you will be searching for missing puzzle pieces. I'm sure this story will be just as delightful. The humor was off the wall in the first Rooms. You'll be trying to get from point a to b using sliding rooms and gadgets.
It's an extraordinary game, I can't rave about it enough. You will not find anything like these Rooms games they are so unique. It's easy in the beginning but that is only to teach you. If you like trying to figure out mazes your going to love this game. And I'm looking forward to a delightful story. It's going to be so many levels to enjoy. Then it will be up to you to use your know-how to escape the rooms. Don't worry they leave you alone after they've explained all the gadgets and movements. If this is the first time you've played Rooms you will appreciate the tutorial in the beginning levels. I bought without even playing the demo, that's how much I loved the first one.Īnyway, I'm into playing the levels now and it is so gorgeous. Well, the first was pretty awesome too, but this one is updated with a bigger playing board which some other people found the last one bothersome.
I'm so excited, I just love Rooms I've waited and waited for a sequel and finally it's here, and sooooooo much better than the first Rooms.
